The Foxglove House, designed by Kirkland Fraser Moor in Wigginton, Hertfordshire, is a contemporary, low-carbon home that seamlessly blends with its rural setting. The house boasts a minimalist aesthetic, incorporating glass, timber, and concrete, as well as a low-profile courtyard design for privacy and optimal natural light. The primary structure is constructed with CLT and features a diagrid roof, utilising eco-friendly materials such as local bricks and cork insulation. The home is highly energy-efficient, meeting Passivhaus standards, and incorporates renewable technologies while also contributing to local biodiversity with the inclusion of bird and bat boxes.
